Tickets / Tripped Cards

Tripped cards can be used strategically to gain an advantage, to defend yourself, or to level the playing field. Your chances of winning improve when picking them up and playing them throughout the game.

How many Tickets can be played during a turn?

There are no limitations, so long as you don’t exceed the maximum permissible number of game piece movements.

How many Tripped cards can be played during a turn?

A maximum of one red and one green card can be played per turn.

How do I play a Tripped card on another player?

A red card is placed on the desired opponent’s passport. To prevent piling on, only one red card can occupy the space on the affected player’s passport. At the end of the affected player’s turn, the red card is discarded. Green, orange and blue cards are immediately discarded once played.

Can I use the Bump card, the Deport card or the Detour card on myself?

No. Nice try though.

I’m on an island and someone played the Longshoreman Strike card on me.

I used the deport, the detour or the bump card on an opponent and sent to their home city at the end of game. What happens?

If the affected player has all six of their destination cities claimed, they win the game. Pay close attention to the board and don’t do this!

Game Piece Movement

Can I board or get off a train where roads and rails intersect?

My game piece is in a latitude or longitude affected by the Natural Disaster. Someone just played a Fuel Shortage card on me. What happens now?

In this specific instance, one movement by road will count as four actions.

How does flying work?

Players can fly between any two cities with an airport displayed on the board. To determine the cost of your flight, count the number of quadrants your game piece travels through by using the shortest combination of horizontal, vertical and/or diagonal movements. Note : Do not include the quadrant you are currently situated in. With the right number of tickets, your game piece can go from one end of the map to the other in a single move.

Someone is blocking my path. Can my game piece jump over theirs?

No. You must find another way around their game piece.

Someone is sitting on my destination city. What can I do?

You can play a green card that allows you to relocate a player’s game piece to another city on the board. Note : If there is nowhere to move their game piece, the card in question cannot be used.

Do I need to claim my home city at the end of the game?

No. Remove your game piece from the board.

Yes. In order to claim a city, a player must be present at the destination in question. Pay attention!
